Your heating oil burns cleaner than ever

Dear Friends,Dell M. Cromie

The quality of the oil in your tank has a big impact on how efficiently your system runs and how long your equipment lasts. That’s why you should know that every gallon of oil we deliver is low-sulfur fuel, which means it burns more cleanly, with lower emissions, for improved heating efficiency and easier maintenance.

As an added advantage, we only deliver Ultra Heat Premium Oil, which includes an additive that helps prevent the formation of sludge and algae in your tank. This prevents fuel lines from becoming clogged, a common cause for system shutdowns.

Ultra-low-sulfur heating oil also opens the door to super-efficient heating systems, which can increase the advantages of heating oil over natural gas even more. Heating oil is already more efficient than natural gas. You need to burn about 40% more natural gas to receive the heating equivalent of oil. That’s another reason more people are sticking with oil and not switching over to gas.

You don’t need to ask for this cleaner, better heating oil: we deliver it automatically, at no cost to you. As a local business with deep roots in the community, we make customer satisfaction a top priority, and it’s why we go the extra mile every day.

Thanks for your trust in us, and all the best to you in the New Year!

Warmly,
Dell M. Cromie

The easiest way to get deliveries

Most of our customers agree: signing up for automatic deliveries is the easiest way to make sure they never run out of fuel—especially during an extended cold spell.

We work with a proven system that’s based on your past usage and average temperatures to make sure we can fill your tank on time. It’s a free service that lets you forget about watching your tank, and stop worrying about calling in your order.

If you do prefer to call us for fuel, it’s important to allow us a minimum of two business days, so we can schedule your delivery. As a general rule, that means you should call when your tank gets to one-quarter full, to ensure that you don’t run out before we can get to you.

Ask Heather

Q How long should my oil tank last?Oil Heat Specialist

Our Ultra Heat Premium fuel includes a rust inhibitor, as well as an additive to prevent sludge and algae, which will help your tank last a long time. However, if your tank is more than 30 years old, or you see any signs of rust, you should consider replacing it. If your tank is “middle-aged,” we can help you with a professional fuel tank cleaning—we recommend doing it every three to five years—to give your tank a fresh start and a longer life.

Q Should I call for a fill-up if there’s a winter storm coming?

If you’re signed up for automatic deliveries, you don’t need to do a thing: We take the forecast into account and we’ll deliver fuel if it’s necessary. If you call us for deliveries, check your tank level regularly. If your tank reaches the one-quarter mark, call us for a delivery.
